Surface Preparation:
a) The surface must be dry and free from dust, loose particles, and any dirt, including any residues from anti-adherent substances.
b) Weberdry Prime SB can be applied on both smooth and rough surfaces. However, it is not advisable to apply the product on very polished surfaces (e.g., burnished or glazed). Such surfaces should be slightly roughened prior to application.
c) Any hollows or uneven areas must be repaired with cement mortar to achieve an even surface.
Application of Weberdry Prime SB:
Weberdry Prime SB is supplied ready to use and can be applied cold using a brush or roller. It can also be applied with a standard paint spray.
Tools used for application, including the spray nozzle, must be cleaned with a solvent such as White Spirit as often as necessary to prevent Weberdry Prime SB from drying on the tools and causing damage. This cleaning should also be performed during work breaks, including lunch breaks, and at the end of the working day.
Coverage:
The coverage is approximately 5.5-6 m² per liter per coat, depending on the porosity of the surface and the required dry film thickness.
