Surface Preparation:
Surface must be clean and dry with no oil, grease or lose debris. Any existing salt or any contamination can be removed by pressure washing using fresh water. Any existing rust on metal surfaces must be cleaned using a wire brush and use ENERCON Antirust primer, Ener-Prime 100, before tape application. Ensure the surface to be dry of any moisture, dew, or frost before tape application.
Application
Measure the length of the area to seal and cut the tape length accordingly. It is suggested to cut tape into smaller pieces for ease in handling, however if there are two or more applicators working then use without cutting into smaller pieces. Remove release liner of the tape and press the tape onto the cleaned surface.
Use your hands with gloves or steel roller to apply pressure on top of tape.
Use roller or hand pressure to release any entrapped air. In case of overlaps, 50% of the tape width must be overlapped for horizontal joints and 7cm overlap for vertical joints.
Make sure the tape is applied on the exact surface, as tape cannot be peeled or removed, once applied. In the case of Fleece top tape, use EnerFlex SB100 or EnerFlex SF200 as UV resistant topcoat.
