SAB® Crystal 410 is a crystalline waterproofing system: a cement-based powder with active chemicals that is applied to concrete as a coating or added to it. When it reacts with the concrete and moisture, it forms insoluble crystals that fill the pores, capillaries and fine cracks, so the concrete itself becomes water-resistant.

How it works:

• It penetrates the concrete by osmotic pressure.
• It reacts with moisture to form insoluble crystals that block pores and fine cracks.
• It becomes an integral part of the concrete rather than a layer on top of it.

Main benefits:

• Can be applied from the inside (negative side) when the outside is not accessible.
• Self-seals hairline cracks up to 0.4 mm.
• Resists high water pressure and chemicals (pH 3–11).
• Non-toxic and suitable for drinking-water tanks.
• Can be applied on damp concrete, and helps protect reinforcement from corrosion.

Typical applications: drinking-water tanks, swimming pools, foundations and basements, retaining walls and water channels, in new structures and for repairing existing ones.
