Bautech Bauflex CW Cementitious Waterproof Coating 20kg

BAUFLEX CW may be used where there is a requirement to exclude water from a building or retain it within a structure. The material is particularly effective for
1. Pile head waterproofing.
2. Water proofing of potable water reservoirs, both interior and exterior.
3. To provide protection for concrete against carbonation and chloride attack.
4. Water proof coating for roofs, concrete water tanks, lift well, inspection pits, swimming pools spillways, bathrooms, kitchens and other wet areas.
5. Waterproof lining for water retaining structures
6. General construction waterproofing. As a protective coating for foundations.
7. As a backing to marble and granite to prevent water ingress and thus alleviate surface staining Protection against brackish water

9. Protection of concrete against carbonation and chloride ion attack

Surface Preparation
The surface must be sound and free of oil, grease, dust and other unwanted residual material which will affect the bonding. The surface to be treated should be saturated with water prior to application but no standing water should be present.

Mixing
The material is supplied in two parts, and pre measured. On site mixing is needed. Take the liquid in a container and slowly add the powder to the liquid and mix using a slow speed drill fitted with a suitable paddle until a lump free creamy consistency is obtained. Do not mix more material than that can be used within 45 minutes. Never add water to loosen the material at any stage.

Application
Apply the first coat using sufficient material at a rate of 1 kg /m² to completely cover the holes, cracks etc. A soft bristled brush or roller can be employed for this. Once the first coat is dry, apply second and third coat in order to achieve the required thickness at an average rate of 0.75 to 1 kg/m² per coat. For best results embed AN ADHESIVE PRIMER into the first coat and apply the second coat on top of it.

Storage
Store out of direct sunlight, clear of the ground on pallets, protect from rainfall. Avoid excessive compaction. Shelf life is 12 months when stored as above. Failure to comply with the recommended storage conditions may result in premature deterioration of the product or packaging. Health & Safety 
As with other products containing Portland cement, the cementitious material in BAUFLEX CW may cause irritation. In case of contact with eyes, immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician. In case of contact with skin, wash skin thoroughly
