For uneven surfaces or gaps that need to be filled, RAK Bond-PVA should be diluted with an equal amount of water to create a paste. This paste can be mixed with plaster, cement, or fine sand and then applied. It serves as an adhesive for plaster boards, polystyrene tiles, and similar materials on ceilings and walls.
If the bonding surface is more porous, use three times the amount of water in relation to RAK Bond-PVA and prime the surface accordingly. When using RAK Bond-PVA as a bonding agent for screeds, plaster, and rendering, ensure that the surface is sound and free from unwanted materials such as oil, grease, and paint.
To seal the surface, mix 1 part RAK Bond-PVA with 3 parts water. Then, apply the bonding coat in a 1:1 ratio and proceed with rendering, screeding, or plastering as usual. This method is also effective for bonding new concrete to old concrete.
As an admixture, RAK Bond-PVA contributes to a crack-free, thin floor screed. For normal to heavy-duty flooring, a recommendation of 20-30 kg of RAK Bond-PVA per 100 kg of cement is advised.
