is supplied as a ready to use product. e product can be used with normal caulking guns. Surface should be clean, dry and free from oil grease or any other contamination. e sealant should be carefully applied using a mastic gun, ensuring that the material is forced well into the gap to obtain the correct joint and achieve good adhesion between surfaces. Necessary tooling to be done within 5 minutes. Do not apply sealant if it is raining or about to rain. Aer applying, protect from rain at least for 8 hours. e non-sag paste consistency of the material makes it very friendly to use, easy to tool with spatula. e product cures at room temperature when it is exposed to moisture and the curing happens from surface to inside the sealant. e skin formation happens within a maximum period of 10 minutes. Any necessary tooling has to be completed within 5 minutes of application. If in case masking tape is used to mark o the area, it has to be removed before skin is formed. Install backing material or joint ller, setting blocks, spacer shims and tapes. Mask areas adjacent to joints to ensure neat sealant lines. Primer is generally not required on non-porous surfaces, but may be necessary for optimal sealing of certain porous surfaces. A test placement is always recommended. Apply ASMACRYL 55 Acrylic Sealant in a continuous operation using positive pressure. (e sealant can be applied using many types of air-operated guns and most types of bulk dispensing equipment.) Before a skin forms (typically within 5 minutes), tool the sealant with light pressure to spread the sealant against the backing material and joint surfaces. Remove masking tape as soon as the bead is tooled.
