Preparation:
All surfaces must be free from old joint sealants, oil, grease, freestanding water, or any loosely adherent material.
Application:
The ambient and substrate temperatures need to be above 5°C both before and after the application of the primer. Agitate the primer contents thoroughly by shaking the container for 30 seconds. Apply an even coat of primer by brush onto the bonding faces of the concrete. Ensure that there is no primer residue present at the base of the joint after the primer has been applied. Allow the primer to become touch dry before applying any sealant (typically 20 minutes at 25°C). Do not apply sealant to wet or tacky primer. The sealant must be applied within 8 hours at normal temperatures.
