Henkel Polybit Modified Bitumen Damp Proof Membrane Polyshield DPC, 30cmX3mmX10m

Polyshield is a damp proof membrane used to create a barrier against moisture or water infiltration from the outside or ground of a structure. It should be installed according to standard building practices outlined in BS 5628 section 3 and the manufacturer's recommendations. 
It is highly durable to withstand various working conditions and can withstand significant construction loads. 
The material is designed to prevent membrane extrusion under forced loading conditions and to prevent the ingress of water vapor throughout the lifespan of the construction. 
The bitumen's chemical composition provides flexibility at low temperatures, high cut and tear resistance, and can be used in both horizontal and vertical damp proof course applications.

During the construction phase, Polyshield is used in the assembly of blockwork, brickwork, or masonry walls using traditional construction methods. 
The damp proof course (DPC) should extend across the entire thickness of the wall and be laid on a level bed of mortar. 
The material should be overlapped to the same width as the damp proof membrane or at least 100mm, including fixing the laps securely. 
The process of jointing, laying, and forming cavity plates should adhere to the relevant building regulations and codes of practice. Polyshield is fully compatible with the Bitustick* range of membranes, providing an effective moisture-proof system.
